Perovskites, The Future in Solar

Perovskites are the next big thing since silicon. Used in tandem with silicon, it can improve efficiency by up to 10%. The benefit of perovskites is that it’s cheap, efficient, thin & lightweight. That lightness will make it easier to install in the years to come.

However, perovskites aren’t yet ready for commercial production since they’re incredibly fragile. Scientists have managed to create perovskite cells in conjunction with silicon to help improve their durability, but they won’t be ready for market for a few years yet.
